Tamil Nadu Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE), Sekarbabu, addressed the media, emphasizing that the DMK government is committed to promoting spirituality and ensuring transparency in governance.He stated that Maha Shivaratri celebrations have been launched at the Mylapore Kapaleeswarar Temple to encourage grand celebrations across Tamil Nadu. This year, the festival will be celebrated on a large scale in nine major temples across the state. “The DMK government respects and upholds spiritual traditions,” he asserted.
Speaking about governance, Sekarbabu highlighted that the DMK government follows the rule of law, adhering to court directives. “Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has instructed that all judicial orders must be implemented without fail, and we are working in that direction,” he added.
Criticizing former Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam (OPS) for frequently demanding white papers on various issues, Sekarbabu remarked, “OPS keeps asking for white papers on every matter, but how many white papers did he release when he was in power?”
Regarding the demand by Congress leader Selvaperunthagai to rename the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, Sekarbabu said, “The request will be forwarded to the Chief Minister. If feasible, he will take the necessary steps.”
