Rajan Eye Care Hospital, in collaboration with the Madras City Ophthalmic Association, hosted the Chennai chapter of the International Society of Manual Small Incision Cataract Surgeons (ISMSICS), bringing a comprehensive cataract surgery conference to the city.The conference focused on Small Incision Cataract Surgery (SICS), a widely practiced technique in India. Dr. Mohan Rajan, Chairman and Medical Director of Rajan Eye Care Hospital, emphasized the importance of refining SICS techniques, while Dr. Sujatha Mohan encouraged postgraduates to master the procedure.
Conference Coordinator Dr. Neeta Dodwad highlighted the event’s dual purpose—spreading knowledge on cataract surgery and training young ophthalmologists. Dr. M.S. Ravindra and Dr. Neeta Dodwad honored senior ophthalmologists with Distinguished Service Awards.
