Speaking at a party meeting in Kampainallur, Dharmapuri district, Thirumavalavan pointed out the struggles faced by regional parties in gaining recognition.
“It took us 35 years of relentless effort to be recognized as a state party. But some individuals, after acting in films until their 50s or 60s, amassing wealth, luxury, and comfort, suddenly decide to enter politics when their film career ends and aim to capture power,” he remarked.
“They don’t need to travel from town to town, hoist flags, or meet people directly. They can simply launch a party and immediately aspire to form a government,” Thirumavalavan added.
Though he did not mention any specific names, his remarks have sparked discussions in political circles, with many speculating on whom he was referring to.
