Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday said as of 2025, India has emerged as the world’s third-largest start-up ecosystem, with a combined valuation exceeding USD 354 million.Virtually addressing the inaugural session of India’s largest R and D fair āIInvenTiv 2025ā at IIT Madras here,
Mr Pradhan extended his invitation to the international representatives and sought to strengthen research
ties to foster global start-up opportunities.
He also said that as of 2025, India has emerged as the world’s third-largest start-up ecosystem, with a combined valuation exceeding USD 354 million.
āTamil Nadu has always been a land of innovation, entrepreneurship and excellence and has given India some of the brightest entrepreneurs, innovators, scientists andĀ researchers who have made significant contributions to nation buildingā, he said. Union Minister of State for Education, Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, who inaugurated the 2-day event, said āI am sure IInvenTiv 3.0, with significant participation of representatives from higher education institutes and the industry will emerge as an iconic brand in the innovation sectorā
āI am sure that the industry leaders attending the event will find many of the technologies on display useful,
leading to further technology transfers in the near futureā, he said.
