Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi highlighted the transformative impact of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Central government initiatives in empowering women, as the nation marked International Women’s Day on March 8.

Speaking at a celebratory event at Raj Bhavan, Governor Ravi felicitated women achievers from various fields for their remarkable contributions to society and the nation’s progress. In his keynote address, he acknowledged the vital role women play in shaping the social fabric, often overcoming numerous challenges and biases.

“Despite facing discrimination, societal constraints, and unequal opportunities, women continue to be the unseen architects of families and society,” Governor Ravi observed. Governor Ravi further noted that India is witnessing a paradigm shift from women’s development to women-led development, where women are not merely beneficiaries but active drivers of the country’s transformation.

The event at Raj Bhavan served as a platform to recognize and celebrate the achievements of women who have made significant strides in various sectors. It reinforced the commitment to fostering a more inclusive and empowered society where
