Manus AI comes out of China

Another day, another AI model from China creating a buzz in the tech world. Just a few weeks ago DeepSeek created headlines. And now we have an AI system called Manus that is being compared with the very best agentic models the AI systems that can do multiple things and coordinate on their own that OpenAI, Google and Anthropic have created. Manus is apparently so good that people who have tried it have compared it to a general-purpose AI, which can work unsupervised on tasks.

So, what is Manus? Chinese startup Monica, which developed Manus, introduced this new AI agent as a platform which “bridges minds and actions: it doesn’t just think, it delivers results”. According to its developers, this new AI agent can think, plan, and execute a wide range of real-world tasks autonomously. From creating websites to planning trips and analysing stocks, Manus can do everything. Just give it a prompt.
