
Reliance Jio Platforms Limited (JPL) has partnered with SpaceX to bring Starlink’s satellite-based broadband services to India, subject to regulatory approvals. This collaboration aims to expand high-speed internet access, especially in remote and underserved areas.
Jio will integrate Starlink’s services with its existing JioFiber and JioAirFiber networks, offering equipment through retail and online platforms while providing installation support. The partnership seeks to bridge the digital divide, ensuring reliable and affordable internet connectivity across India.
Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw welcomed the partnership on social media, highlighting its potential to boost India’s digital infrastructure.
