Actor Suriya launched the character teaser of R Madhavan from the upcoming film Test on Saturday. The film, directed by producer-turned-filmmaker Sashikanth, features a star-studded cast, including Siddharth, Nayanthara, and Meera Jasmine.
While unveiling the teaser, Suriya praised Madhavan, stating that from Aayutha Ezhuthu to Test, the actor has consistently delivered his best performances. Notably, Suriya and Madhavan shared screen space in Mani Ratnam’s 2004 political drama Aayutha Ezhuthu, which also starred Siddharth.
In Test, Madhavan plays the role of Saravanan, an ambitious professional struggling to gain recognition at his workplace. His dream construction projects, which he believes will transform the nation, face significant hurdles due to bureaucratic delays and red tape.
The film’s makers had previously released the character teasers of Siddharth and Nayanthara, heightening anticipation for the project. The inclusion of Meera Jasmine in a crucial role further adds to the excitement surrounding the film.
Test marks the directorial debut of Sashikanth, who is also producing the film under YNOT Studios along with Chakravarthy Ramachandra. The technical crew includes TS Suresh as the editor and Viraj Sinh Gohil as the director of cinematography. Interestingly, renowned playback singer Shakthishree Gopalan is making her debut as a music composer with this film.
Scheduled for release on April 4, Test will be available on Netflix in multiple languages, including Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
