Senior BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan on Monday alleged that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin is apprehensive about the possible unity of opposition parties ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections. She claimed that the growing political pressure has unsettled the ruling DMK.Speaking to reporters after inaugurating a neer mor pandhal at MGR Nagar, Tamilisai criticized the DMK government for neglecting governance and failing to ensure the safety of its citizens. âThe law and order situation in Tamil Nadu is deteriorating, and people no longer feel safe,â she stated.
Taking aim at DMK ministers, she accused them of blindly praising CM Stalinâs son, Udhayanidhi Stalin. She specifically called out PK Sekarbabu, reminding that he was once a key figure in Jayalalithaaâs AIADMK but is now part of the DMKâs leadership.
On the issue of delimitation, Tamilisai questioned why the DMK continues to discuss the topic when no official announcement has been made. âA simple glance at the Election Commissionâs website confirms that there will be no changes to Lok Sabha constituencies until 2026,â she said.
Raising concerns over various public issues, she asked, âWhat is the governmentâs response to the JACTO-GEO protests? What is its stand on the caste-wise census demand? Dairy farmers claim they have not been paid for their milkâwhat is the DMKâs answer?â
Tamilisai further accused the ruling party of suppressing democratic voices and shifting focus away from real concerns. â
