Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has confirmed that President Vladimir Putin will visit India soon.
Last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited Putin to India during his visit to Russia. Putin accepted the invitation. Now, Russia has officially announced his visit.
Lavrov said that arrangements for Putin’s trip are in progress. He also noted that after winning a third term, Modi chose Russia for his first foreign visit. Now, Russia is preparing for a visit to India.
However, Lavrov did not mention the exact date of Putin’s visit. Despite Modi’s calls for peace, India has remained neutral in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
