Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) is holding state-wide protests today, demanding the repeal of the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2025.
According to reports, protests are planned in all district capitals. TVK leader Vijay has instructed district secretaries to organize the demonstrations effectively.
The Bill was passed in the Lok Sabha on Thursday after a 12-hour debate. Many parties, including the DMK, oppose it. Chief Minister MK Stalin has announced that the DMK will challenge the Bill in the Supreme Court.
