
The MoU was signed with the Guidance Tamil Nadu,the nodal agency for attracting investments into the State, in the presence of Chief Minister M K Stalin, Industries Minister TRB Raaja and company officials at the State Secretariat.
The facility, to come up at Oragadam in neighbouring Kancheepuram district, would manufacture Laptops and All in One PC making it a big day in the Electronic Manufacturing Services.
The new facility would offer jobs to 5,000 people, benefitting youth in and around Kancheepuram district.
An official release said, Tamil Nadu has emerged as the second largest economy in the country and was the leading state in manufacturing and exports.
It said the 2024-25 Economic Survey has lauded the state in attracting largescale investments and generaitng jobs, especially for women.
Stating that Tamil Nadu has reached new heightsin Economic growth of 9.69 per cent in 2024-25, it said it was the highest growth achieved during the last ten years.
With a view attaining the goal of making TN a USD One Trillion Dollar economy
by 2030, the State has recorded impressive investment and employmet generation form 2021-2025, by inkings 895 MoUs, committing investments to the tune of Rs 10,14,368 crore and creating 32,04,895 jobs.
In line with these initiatives, the govrnment signed MoU today with Dixon Tehnologies
for setting up a manufactuing facility for Laptops and computers.
