Stalin slams BJP-AIADMK Alliance as Anti-TN

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin launched a scathing attack on the BJP-AIADMK alliance, calling it a “defeat coalition” formed out of hunger for power and a betrayal of Tamil Nadu’s rights.
In a strongly worded statement, Stalin said, “The BJP-AIADMK alliance has always been a symbol of failure. The people of Tamil Nadu have consistently rejected this coalition, and now Union Home Minister Amit Shah is trying to revive it.”
He criticized Amit Shah’s recent press conference, stating that the Union Minister’s comments were unbecoming of his high office. “While he confirmed the alliance, he failed to explain the ideological basis behind it. Instead, he vaguely promised a ‘common minimum programme’, while ignoring key issues,” Stalin remarked.
He pointed out the contradictions in AIADMK’s stance, questioning whether the alliance’s proposed minimum programme would include opposition to NEET, Hindi imposition, the three-language policy, and the Waqf Act — all positions the AIADMK claims to support. “The Home Minister chose not to address these and didn’t even allow AIADMK leaders to speak,” Stalin added.
Referring to AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami, Stalin said, “People have not forgotten how EPS mortgaged Tamil Nadu’s self-respect and rights at the altar of power in Delhi. He is willing to sacrifice anything for the sake of positions.”
Stalin also took a swipe at Amit Shah for raising corruption allegations while standing beside AIADMK. “It was laughable to hear the Home Minister speak about corruption alongside a party led by those involved in multiple corruption cases. Late CM Jayalalithaa had to step down twice due to corruption charges and was even convicted in a disproportionate assets case,” he said.
Concluding his statement, Stalin said the people of Tamil Nadu will never accept a treacherous alliance that bows to Delhi. “Whether BJP comes alone or with partners, the people are ready to give them a fitting response. Tamil Nadu will not tolerate a coalition that compromises its dignity and rights,” he affirmed.
