BJP Will Try for Alliance with PMK, DMDK: Nainar Nagendran

Tamil Nadu BJP President Nainar Nagendran has said that the party will hold talks with the PMK and DMDK to try and form an alliance. He emphasized the need to unite all parties to defeat the ruling DMK government in the state.

Speaking to the media, Nagendran took a dig at actor Vijay’s recent political statement, saying it was amusing that he claimed he would remove the central government soon after launching his party.

In his first political statement after becoming BJP state chief, Nagendran responded to criticism that the BJP-led front is a “misfit alliance.” He said, “Yes, it is a misfit alliance—for the DMK—because it is this alliance that will bring down Chief Minister Stalin’s corrupt and oppressive government.”
