In a development that has generated political speculation, Tamil Nadu BJP president Nainar Nagendran met AIADMK general secretary and Leader of Opposition Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) at the latter’s chamber in the Secretariat.
The meeting, which lasted about 30 minutes, marked the first significant face-to-face interaction between the two leaders following the recent revival of the AIADMK-BJP alliance in the state. Senior AIADMK leaders including SP Velumani, Kadambur Raju, and Thalavai Sundaram were also present during the interaction.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Nainar Nagendran downplayed its political implications, stating, “It was purely a courtesy call.”
