Following the success of Viduthalai 2, versatile actor Vijay Sethupathi has been busy with an exciting lineup of films. He is currently working on projects titled Ace, Train, and a film directed by Pandiraj. Up next, he is all set to collaborate with director Puri Jagannadh for a high-octane entertainer.
Adding to this impressive slate, Vijay Sethupathi is also set to reunite with director Nithilan Saminathan for a new project. The duo previously worked together on Maharaja, which was made on a modest budget of Rs. 20 crore and went on to gross a phenomenal Rs. 190 crore worldwide, including collections from China. The film was both a critical and commercial success, solidifying Vijay Sethupathi’s reputation as a powerful performer and Nithilan as a director with strong storytelling skills.
Riding high on the success of Maharaja, Nithilan recently narrated the story for Maharaja 2 to Vijay Sethupathi, who is said to have given it an enthusiastic nod. The director is currently working on the script, and an official announcement regarding the sequel is expected soon.
With Maharaja 2 in the pipeline, fans are eagerly anticipating another gripping drama from the successful actor-director duo.
