The Directorate of Technical Education has announced that the online application process for B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering) courses in Tamil Nadu will begin on May 7, 2025.This announcement comes ahead of the Plus Two exam results, which are expected to be released on May 9, 2025. Students who have completed their higher secondary education are now preparing to apply for various undergraduate programs.
The online registration for B.E. admissions will officially be launched by Tamil Nadu Higher Education Minister K. Ponmudy on May 7 at 10 AM. Students can apply through the official Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) portal:Ā https://www.tneaonline.org. The last date to submit applications is June 6, 2025.
Under Anna University, there are more than 440 engineering colleges operating across Tamil Nadu. These institutions collectively offer around 1.5 lakh seats for undergraduate engineering programs. All admissions will be conducted through an online counseling process via the TNEA platform.
