The makers of the upcoming period drama Kaantha have unveiled the first look of actress Bhagyashri Borse, who portrays the character Kumari in the film. Released on her birthday, the poster showcases Borse in a vibrant traditional saree, exuding elegance and grace. Bhagyashri Borse, who made her Tamil debut with Yaariyan 2, steps into a pivotal role in Kaantha, marking a significant milestone in her career. Her look as Kumari hints at a character deeply rooted in the cultural and emotional landscape of the 1950s. With the film promising a rich narrative and strong character arcs, her pairing with Dulquer Salmaan is expected to bring a refreshing dynamic to the screen.
Set in 1950s Chennai, Kaantha is directed by Selvamani Selvaraj and stars Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role. The film is produced by Rana Daggubati, Dulquer Salmaan, Prashanth Potluri, and Jom Varghese under the banners of Spirit Media and Wayfarer Films. Kaantha is slated for release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi.
