Many airports are shut and hundreds of flights are cancelled. Visitors are not allowed inside terminals this week.
Airport officials were told to check all CCTV cameras. The Ministry of Civil Aviation said new rules must be followed.
All passengers will face extra checks before boarding. Cars entering airports will also be checked fully.
IDs must be shown before entering the airport. Bags may be checked at random. Air Marshals will be posted for safety.
