In a vibrant display of patriotism, Tamil Nadu BJP President Nainar Nagendran led a spirited Tiranga Yatra (Tricolour Rally) in Chennai on Wednesday to commemorate the Indian Army’s successful Operation Sindoor. The rally, which drew over 2,000 participants including college students, NCC cadets, and members of the public, featured a 330-foot-long Indian flag paraded through the Pudupet-Egmore area, led by a woman dressed as Bharat Mata, symbolizing national pride.Addressing the gathering, Nagendran lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, stating, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a leader created by nature and God. You can wag your tail at anyone — but if you wag it at Narendra Modi, he will cut it off.” He emphasized the transformation of India under Modi’s governance, remarking, “There was a time when we didn’t even have water to drink. But today, under Modi, India is strong, sovereign, and bold.” Nagendran also issued a stern warning to adversaries, declaring, “The day Pakistan disappears from the world map is not far off—and Modi will make it happen.”
Senior BJP leaders H Raja and Tamilisai Soundararajan echoed Nagendran’s sentiments. Raja criticized past leadership, attributing the continued occupation of parts of Kashmir to former Prime Minister Nehru’s decisions. Soundararajan praised Modi’s governance, highlighting his commitment to national security and his efforts to ensure the safety of civilians during military operations.
Earlier in the day, Nagendran and BJP National Secretary Arvind Menon paid a courtesy visit to Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi at Raj Bhavan, underscoring the party’s engagement with state leadership during this significant national celebration.
