PMK Meet: Ramadoss losing ground to son Anbumani

PMK founder Dr. S. Ramadoss on Friday said he is taking full control of the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), brushing aside any talk of internal fights.
The senior leader held a meeting with party district secretaries at his Thailapuram residence. But only around 15 party functionaries attended.
When asked about the low turnout, he said many had called him and informed they couldn’t make it. “They may be tired after attending the Chitra Pournami conference in Mamallapuram,” he said.
There have been talks of a split in the party after Ramadoss removed his son Anbumani Ramadoss from the party president post and made him working president.
But Ramadoss strongly denied this. “There are no groups in PMK. Groups are only for music concerts,” he joked.
Sending a strong message, he said, “The lion’s aggression is still there. I have taught our party how to win elections by even lying down.”
