The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) has announced that students who failed or were absent during the Class 12 public exams must apply for the supplementary examinations by May 29, 2025, before 5 PM. This announcement concerns a total of 35,350 students, including 28,292 who failed and 7,058 who were absent during the regular board exams.
Students currently enrolled in schools must apply directly through their respective institutions. Applications can be submitted between 11 AM and 5 PM, excluding Sundays. Meanwhile, private candidates are required to register through the DGE’s designated service centres in their respective districts. To accommodate those who may miss the regular deadline, a Tatkal application option is available on May 30 and 31, with an additional fee of ₹1,000.
The supplementary exams are scheduled to take place from June 25 to July 2, 2025, with daily sessions held from 10:15 AM to 1:15 PM. The detailed timetable and subject-wise schedule can be accessed on the official DGE website: www.dge.tn.gov.in.
The examination fee for each subject is ₹235, which includes the examination fee of ₹150, an online registration fee of ₹50, and other administrative charges amounting to ₹35. Students applying under the Tatkal scheme must pay an additional ₹1,000 as a late fee.
Provisional mark certificates for Class 10 students and mark statements for Class 11 students will be available for download from May 19, 2025, through the DGE website. Additionally, students who wish to obtain scanned copies of their answer sheets can apply through their schools between May 20 and May 24, 2025.
The Directorate has advised all students to ensure they apply within the given timelines and consult their schools or the DGE website for further details and updates.
