Universal Pictures, in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery, is bringing back the beloved tale How to Train Your Dragon—this time as a stunning live-action film. Releasing on June 13 in English, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, the movie is directed by Dean DeBlois, who helmed the original animated trilogy.
Mason Thames stars as Hiccup, Nico Parker as Astrid, and Gerard Butler returns as Stoick the Vast. The story follows Hiccup, a young Viking who befriends a dragon named Toothless, challenging the fear between humans and dragons.
Inspired by author Cressida Cowell’s childhood on a remote Scottish island, the film blends fantasy with real-life roots. Packed with themes of courage, empathy, and change, this adaptation promises to thrill longtime fans and welcome a new generation into the world of Berk.
