The Tamil Nadu government has released ₹58.86 crore for government schools as part of the first installment of the Integrated Education Scheme for the 2025–26 academic year.The funds were approved by the Union Ministry of Education’s Project Approval Board to support recurring expenses in schools. The amount will be used to improve educational services, learning resources, and infrastructure in government-run institutions across the state.
The Directorate of Integrated Education has directed district education officers to transfer the money to School Management Committee bank accounts within three days. The move is aimed at strengthening the quality of education and ensuring that students benefit from timely and efficient support.
