Tamil Nadu’s HR and CE Minister P.K. Sekarbabu has hit back at Union Home Minister Amit Shah, saying his recent trip to the state stemmed from fear.
Sekarbabu said the DMK’s Dravidian model government remains calm and confident, moving forward with clear goals
He noted that Amit Shah’s frequent visits to Tamil Nadu are proof that the BJP-led Centre is nervous about the DMK’s success
“The Union government is growing restless on seeing our leader,” Sekarbabu said, referring to Chief Minister M.K. Stalin
The minister also highlighted the DMK government’s work, including ₹425 crore allocated to renovate and restore over 100-year-old temples
He added that the department has completed 59 temple consecrations, funded with a total subsidy of ₹600 crore
Sekarbabu’s remarks come as part of the DMK’s defence against what it sees as BJP’s aggressive political outreach in the run-up to the 2026 Assembly elections.
