Day 1 of the World Test Championship 2025 final saw fast bowling take center stage. Australia were all out for just 212 runs. South African pacer Kagiso Rabada took 5 wickets and led the bowling attack.
But Australia hit back hard. Their bowlers gave South Africa no chance to settle. Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, and Josh Hazlewood took quick wickets.
By the end of the day, South Africa were 43 for 4. The pitch at Lord’s helped the fast bowlers all day. Overcast skies in the morning and bright sun later made conditions tricky for batters.
It was a tough day for both teams, with 14 wickets falling on the first day of the final.
