Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi has called on the public to come together and celebrate the International Day of Yoga on June 21. He said Yoga is not just an exercise but a path to a healthier and more peaceful life.
This year, the theme for Yoga Day is “One Earth, One Health.” It highlights the deep connection between human health and the well-being of the planet.
To support the event, the Raj Bhavan and Anna University have launched an online registration portal. People can register to participate or set up Yoga centres in their local areas. Participants can also choose nearby centres to join the Yoga Day celebration.
After the event, each centre is asked to upload photos, videos, and a short report. A special panel will review the submissions and select the best-performing centres, which will be honoured at Raj Bhavan by the Governor himself.
Governor Ravi urged all citizens to embrace Yoga in daily life and to take part in this united effort to celebrate health, harmony, and oneness.
