Prime Minister Narendra Modi held talks with Cyprus President Nikos on Monday. They discussed ways to strengthen relations between the two countries. Modi is visiting Cyprus as part of his three-nation tour. This is the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Cyprus in over 20 years. He received a ceremonial welcome at the Presidential Palace before the talks. The meeting included delegation-level talks, with key Indian officials present ā External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, and National Security Adviser Ajit Doval. Modi arrived in Cyprus on Sunday. After landing, he posted on X, saying the visit will give a big boost to India-Cyprus ties, especially in trade and investment.
