On the occasion of Mamitha Baiju’s 24th birthday, the makers of the upcoming Tamil film Dude revealed her character poster, introducing her as “Kural.” The Malayalam actor, who shot to fame with Premalu, is now gearing up for her Tamil breakthrough alongside actor-director Pradeep Ranganathan in this much-anticipated project.Dude marks the directorial debut of Keerthiswaran, who previously assisted acclaimed filmmaker Sudha Kongara in projects like Soorarai Pottru, Paava Kadhaigal, and Putham Pudhu Kaalai. This film is also Pradeep Ranganathan’s fourth outing as a lead actor, following the success of Love Today (which he also directed), Dragon directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, and Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) directed by Vignesh Shivan, which is yet to release.
Backed by Mythri Movie Makers, Dude is the production house’s second Tamil venture after the Ajith Kumar-starrer Good Bad Ugly. The film also stars Sarathkumar, Hridhu Haroon, Rohini, and Dravid Selvam in key roles.
The technical crew of Dude includes music composer Sai Abhyankkar, cinematographer Niketh Bommi, and editor Barath Vikraman. With a youthful cast, intriguing storyline, and fresh creative vision, Dude is already creating buzz.
Interestingly, Dude is set to have a box-office clash with Mari Selvaraj’s much-awaited Bison, starring Dhruv Vikram, making it one of the most exciting release battles in recent times.
