Suryah, who earned immense acclaim for his powerful and versatile acting in recent years, now returns to his first love—direction. His comeback has been eagerly anticipated by cinephiles across India, especially those who have admired his unique storytelling in cult hits like Vaali and Kushi. With Killer, he promises a gripping, edge-of-the-seat action thriller infused with drama, emotion, and romance.
The film stars SJ Suryah himself in the lead role, along with actress Preethi Asrani, who plays another key character. Speaking about the project, Suryah said, “Killer is not just a film for me; it’s a long-nurtured dream. I’ve been writing this story for years. Like a debut actor and debut director, I’ve stepped into this with full sincerity and heart. I’ve always aspired to reach the level of MGR in the artistic world. The film is being produced on a grand scale by Gokulam Gopalan’s Sree Gokulam Movies, in association with Angel Studios. Designed as a Pan-Indian project, Killer will be released in five languages. It will be shot across multiple locations in India, with key sequences planned in Mexico to add an international appeal.
