In a significant development in the Rithanya suicide case, the mother-in-law of the deceased, identified as Nandhini, has been arrested by the police on charges of domestic harassment.
Rithanya, a young woman from Tamil Nadu, had recently died by suicide under suspicious circumstances, triggering widespread public outrage and demands for justice.
