Mumbai, July 8: The Indian Premier League (IPL) has seen a big jump in its business and brand value this year. According to a report by global investment bank Houlihan Lokey, the IPL’s business value has grown by 13% in one year to $18.5 billion (around ₹1.6 lakh crore). Its brand value has also increased by 14% and is now close to $4 billion (about ₹33,000 crore).
A major highlight of this year is the rise of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). After winning the IPL 2025 title for the first time, RCB has become the most valuable team in the league with a brand value of $269 million.
Here are the top four IPL teams by brand value:
RCB – $269 million
Mumbai Indians – $242 million
Chennai Super Kings – $235 million
Kolkata Knight Riders – $227 million
These teams remain the biggest names in the IPL, thanks to their performance, fan support, and brand partnerships.
The IPL’s strong growth is supported by big TV and digital rights deals, sponsorships, merchandise sales, and ticket revenues. The league is now seen as one of the richest and most successful sports leagues in the world.
With its popularity still growing, the IPL is expected to get even bigger in the coming years.
