A tragic road accident in Vepery, Chennai, has resulted in the death of a 42-year-old woman identified as Sridevi. The incident occurred near the Vepery Police Commissioner’s office when a cargo vehicle collided with the motorcycle Sridevi was riding.Sridevi, a resident of Pudupettai Sheshathri Street, was en route to her home in Pudupettai from Purasawalkam when the fatal collision took place. The driver of the cargo vehicle initially fled the scene after the accident.
Anna Salai traffic police promptly arrived at the site to commence their investigation. Utilizing surveillance camera footage, the police were able to identify the cargo vehicle involved in the mishap and have since successfully arrested its driver.
