In an escalating investigation into drug use and supply within the film industry, police have arrested three more individuals, including a film assistant director, in connection with cocaine use. This comes after recent developments that saw actors Srikanth and Krishna granted conditional bail in a related case. The probe gained significant attention last week when actors Srikanth and Krishna were arrested for drug consumption. While they have since been granted conditional bail by the High Court, police intensified their operations to dismantle the drug supply chain.
Following up on the initial arrests, law enforcement apprehended Aravind Balaji and Subhash last week, who were identified as suppliers of drugs to actors. Extensive interrogations of these individuals provided further leads.
In the latest development, police have arrested assistant film director Sripemkumar, along with Alex Santhosh and Rajan, for their alleged involvement in cocaine use. All three are currently being questioned as investigations continue to uncover the full extent of the drug network.
