AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami strongly reprimanded IAS officers for allegedly spreading misleading statistics that confuse the public. Speaking at a rally in Perambalur district’s Kunnam constituency, he accused senior bureaucrats of acting in support of the DMK by sharing incorrect figures, calling it a “political gimmick”Palaniswami challenged the accuracy of claims like DMK’s 100-day wage scheme and ₹1,000 monthly support for women, suggesting these were false and fueled by ulterior motives. He warned that once AIADMK returns to power, officials found disseminating such “fake narratives” will face strict accountability.
The former Chief Minister urged all IAS officers to stick to factual reporting about government schemes and avoid confusing citizens with party-favouring data. He stressed that those interested in biased messaging should resign and join the DMK, instead of serving the state bureaucracy.
