Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached London on Wednesday evening. He is on a two-day official visit to the United Kingdom.UK’s Minister for Indo-Pacific Catherine West received him at the airport. Indian High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami and British High Commissioner Lindy Cameron were also present.
Groups of students, community leaders, and MPs welcomed PM Modi outside London. Many from the Indian community were happy to see him.
“It’s a short visit, but we are excited to greet him,” said Kuldeep Shekhawat, head of Overseas Friends of BJP.
During the visit, PM Modi will meet British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. They will talk about many key issues. Starmer will host Modi at Chequers, his official country home.
PM Modi will also meet King Charles III.
The main highlight of the visit is the expected signing of a Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
