The Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) has announced a new date for its second state convention. Originally scheduled for August 25, the event will now take place on August 21 in Madurai. The decision to change the date was made in response to a request from the police. Due to the upcoming Vinayaka Chaturthi festival on August 27, law enforcement officials expressed challenges in providing full security for a large-scale event. To accommodate these concerns, TVK leader Vijay confirmed the revised schedule.
In his announcement, Vijay urged all party members to attend the convention responsibly and with safety as their top priority. The preparations for the meeting are already underway and have been expedited to ensure a smooth and successful event on the new date.
