AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami has accused the DMK government of being deeply corrupt and pointed to the arrest of Madurai Mayor’s husband, Ponvasanth, in a property tax scam as proof.Speaking at a campaign in Tirupattur, he
claimed the DMK acted only after AIADMK pressure, and five DMK functionaries resigned over the issue.
EPS also said the DMK was renaming old AIADMK schemes and taking credit and reminded people that the AIADMK had created Tirupattur district and asked what the DMK had done for it.
On power tariff hikes, he said there were no increases during AIADMK rule. He blamed the DMK for repeated hikes and for wrongly blaming AIADMK.
He promised legal action against those involved in corruption if AIADMK returns to power.
