The Chennai Traffic Police have announced major traffic diversions in and around Anna Salai and Teynampet, as a 3.2 km flyover construction project is set to begin from August 17, 2025. This is expected to impact thousands of daily commuters, especially those traveling through Saidapet, T. Nagar, and Teynampet. Key traffic diversions include:
– Saidapet to Anna Salai: Turn left into Thyagaraya Road, right at M.P.C. Junction, and proceed via North Boag Road.
. Nagar to Anna Salai: Turn left at M.P.C. Junction and follow Vijayaraghava Road to Anna Salai.
– South Boag Road: Vehicles will be diverted to Vijayaraghava Road without a right turn onto Anna Salai.
