The rush for Diwali train tickets saw all bookings completed within minutes of opening, as the festival falls on Monday, October 20 this year. Passengers traveling to their hometowns eagerly awaited the release, which opened on the morning of October 17, following Indian Railways’ 60-day advance booking rule.
Popular trains, including Nellai Express, Kanyakumari Express, Ananthapuri Express, Cheran Express, and Pothigai Express, were fully booked within 10 minutes, leaving most travelers with only waiting list options.
