Erode, Aug 20: The Indian Army will conduct an Agniveer recruitment rally at the VOC Park Sports Complex in Erode between August 26 and September 7. The drive will select candidates for various roles, including Agniveer General Duty, Technical, Clerk-Store Keeper, and Tradesman.
According to reports, aspirants from 11 Tamil Nadu districts — Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Dindigul, Namakkal, Nilgiris, Madurai, and Theni — will participate in the recruitment.
The rally will also cover Central Category posts such as Sepoy Technical Nursing Assistant, Sepoy Pharma, Havildar, and Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO). These positions are open to candidates from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Puducherry.
District-wise Schedule
August 26: Candidates from Dharmapuri and Dindigul (Agniveer GT).
August 27: Krishnagiri district (Agniveer GT).
August 28: Candidates from Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Nilgiris, Dindigul, Krishnagiri, and Madurai.
August 29–30: Candidates from Madurai district.
August 31: Recruitment for Agniveer GD and Clerk-SKDD roles for aspirants from Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Nilgiris, Dindigul, Krishnagiri, Theni, and Madurai.
September 1–2: Agniveer GD (Technical) recruitment for candidates from Namakkal, Dharmapuri, Dindigul, Krishnagiri, Theni, and Madurai, along with other districts.
September 3–4: Central category recruitment (for TN, AP, Telangana, and Puducherry).
September 5: Medical examinations.
September 6–7: Final allotment process.
Army officials confirmed that admit cards have been sent to selected candidates via email.
The rally is expected to see a large turnout of youth aspiring to join the armed forces under the Agnipath scheme.
