Beirut, Aug 30: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday released never-before-seen footage from Hamas’s October 7 attack. He stood beside Sabine Tassa, a grieving mother who lost her family members that day.The CCTV video shows the assault on the Tassa family in Netiv Haasara. Gil Tassa and his sons Koren and Shay ran into a shelter before a Hamas fighter threw a grenade inside. Gil was killed. Shay was injured and said he could see only with one eye.
The footage also shows a fighter casually opening the family’s fridge before leaving.
Gil’s 17-year-old son Or was not there; he was killed separately while fishing at Zikim beach. Koren and Shay later escaped to their mother’s home and hid until rescue teams arrived.
Netanyahu praised Sabine’s strength. “Her courage shames these terrorists. She and her children carry scars that may never heal, yet she stands tall,” he said.
