Washington, Sept 2: US President Donald Trump has again criticised India’s trade policies, calling the relationship “one-sided” and a “disaster.”In a social media post, Trump claimed India had offered to cut tariffs to zero but said it was “too late.” He alleged that India sells large amounts of goods to the US but buys very little in return because of high tariffs, which he said were “the highest of any country.”
The Indian government has earlier rejected similar claims, saying they are not true. Trump’s comments come soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese Premier Xi Jinping.
