Thol. Thirumavalavan, leader of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi, spoke at a protest in Tiruppur. He criticized the economic policies of Prime Minister Modi.He said the protest is against policies that hurt poor people. He added that big industrialists like Ambani and Adani are not affected. Only ordinary citizens face the burden.
Thirumavalavan also said that the government is trying to suppress democracy. He accused them of spreading communal hatred. He stressed that a secular, progressive alliance in Tamil Nadu is important to protect people.
He warned that current policies harm Indiaâs economy and mainly affect the poor.
