Tamil Nadu BJP President Nainar Nagendran has strongly condemned the shocking incident reported from Mel Sanangkuppam Government Primary School in Tirupattur. According to reports, the headmaster, Bharat Ambedkar, allegedly sexually harassed a Class 5 girl student while being under the influence of alcohol.Nagendran expressed deep concern that this was not an isolated case. He pointed out that the same headmaster had already faced sexual misconduct complaints in four different schools and had merely been transferred each time. Shockingly, within just 15 days of his latest posting, he was again accused of committing the same offense.
The BJP leader said such repeated incidents reveal the decline of government schools under the DMK regime. He criticized the state government for handling these crimes superficially by making arrests for the sake of āoptics,ā only to later transfer the accused teachers to another school instead of taking strict, permanent action.
He also questioned the stateās claims of strict punishment, such as canceling the educational certificates of teachers involved in sexual crimes, pointing out that these promises remain only on paper. āIs sacrificing studentsā safety by repeatedly transferring accused teachers what the School Education Department calls its āgolden eraā?ā Nagendran asked.
