Southern Railway to operate special trains for festival rush

Southern Railway has announced six special train services to handle extra passenger traffic during the Ayudha Puja and Deepavali festivals.

The trains will run on routes including Nagercoil–Tambaram, Chennai Central–Pothanur, Chennai Central–Sengottai, Tirunelveli–Chennai Egmore, Thoothukudi–Chennai Egmore, and Nagercoil–Chennai Central. Services will operate on select dates between September 24 and October 28.
