The makers of Arun Vijay’s upcoming film Retta Thala have released the first single, titled ‘Kannamma’, on September 19, 2025. The romantic track features Arun Vijay and Siddhi Idnani and is sung by Dhanush. The music and lyrics are composed by Sam CS.Directed by Kris Thirukumaran, known for films like Maan Karate and Gethu, Retta Thala is produced by Bobby Balachandran under BTG Universal. The film also stars Tanya Ravichandran, Kannada actor Yogesh in his Tamil debut, John Vijay, Hareesh Peradi, and Balaji Murugadoss.
The technical team includes cinematographer Tijo Tomy, editor Anthony, and stunt choreographers Anbariv. The makers have not yet announced the film’s release date. In addition to Retta Thala, Arun Vijay will also be seen in Dhanush’s directorial venture Idli Kadai, set to release on October 1, 2025.
