Kalaimamani Awardees
The Kalaimamani Award, the highest civilian honor in Tamil Nadu, is presented to individuals who have excelled in various art forms. The recipients for the years 2021, 2022, and 2023 include:
2021: Actor-director SJ Suryah, actress Sai Pallavi, director Lingusamy, and stunt coordinator Super Subbarayan.
2022: Actor Vijay Sethupathi, actress Suriya, and music director Anirudh Ravichander.
2023: Actor Karthi, actress Trisha, and music director Yuvan Shankar Raja.
MS Subbulakshmi Award
The MS Subbulakshmi Award is presented to an artist from the music field who has made significant contributions. This year’s recipient is renowned playback singer Dr. KJ Yesudas, a Padma Bhushan awardee, recognized for his exceptional talent and dedication to music.
Veteran film PROs Diamond Babu and Nikil Murukan have been chosen to receive Kalaimamani awards.
These awards celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Tamil Nadu and honor individuals who have enriched the state’s artistic landscape. The ceremony for the 2021â2023 awardees is scheduled to take place in Chennai, with Chief Minister M. K. Stalin expected to preside over the event.
