Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) administrator Imayathamilan has filed a complaint against YouTuber Sattai Duraimurugan, alleging that he made derogatory remarks about women attending actor Vijay’s public events.
The complaint was submitted online to the National Commission for Women (NCW), accusing Duraimurugan of insulting women who participated in Vijay’s campaign events in Trichy and Ariyalur. TVK has requested that action be taken against him and that the related video content be removed from online platforms.
This is not the first controversy involving Duraimurugan. He has previously faced legal action for making offensive remarks about former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi and spreading misinformation about actor Kamal Haasan’s background.
The latest complaint has heightened tensions between TVK and the ruling DMK party. Recently, DMK reportedly issued a gag order to its leaders, barring them from commenting on TVK, even as actor Vijay continues his statewide outreach campaign.
The NCW is expected to review the complaint and decide on the next course of action.
