At stumps, India was 448 for 5, leading by 286 runs.KL Rahul scored 100 runs, his first home Test century, while Dhruv Jurel made his maiden Test century with 125 runs. Ravindra Jadeja remained unbeaten on 104, marking his sixth Test century.
Jurel and Jadeja shared a 206-run partnership for the fifth wicket, putting India in a strong position. West Indies bowlers struggled to take wickets, with Jomel Warrican and Khary Pierre conceding over 100 runs each. India will resume their innings on Day 3 aiming to extend their lead.
